ValleyFest is Lebanon Valley College's Spring Arts Festival that involves concerts, art shows, and a daytime street festival. The design was meant to reflect the theme of Woodstock. I was given the opportunity to brand this event for the 2016 year. My main responsibilities were logo creation, t shirt design, poster design for both print and web, and social media design. I also needed to figure out how to create a social experience through branded material. I helped the Lebanon Valley College marketing team create social media graphics to get the student body excited for the event.

Overall, it was an honor to design an event that all my peers look forward to. If you're interested in learning more about ValleyFest, check out the website and their Twitter account.

Logo and Poster Design

The logo was the first step in branding ValleyFest 2016. Sticking with the theme of Woodstock gave me some iconic images to work with, such as the guitar and bird. These elements shaped the rest of the event.

The poster draws elements from the past and the present for ValleyFest 2016. Woodstock promoted peace and love, and the coordinators of ValleyFest wanted that motivation behind their event poster. With history in mind, blending modern typography with the logo design was a must.

T Shirt Design

After designing the logo and the event poster, the ValleyFest staff needed t shirts to sell to students and a staff t shirt for the day of the event. The student shirt had to be white with the logo emblem while the staff shirt had a monochromatic logo with a tie dye t shirt base.

Social Media Design

In order to promote the event, images for social media had to be prepared and designed for easy sharing. One image had to be a vertical design that depicted the band line-up for the day. The other image had to be horizontal with the same information.
